Hacking Rhetoric

Condensed History of Anonymous

After our annotated bibliography assignments, I have been doing some side readings on Anonymous and even looking at 4chan to try to find the bulletin boards they started with.  What I am fascinated about is how something that was known among a small group expanded so much that it Anonymous has been able to mobilize thousands of people who have never met, but were able to successfully hack some impressive websites.  I can’t even imagine this because in my experience people tend to shy away from work or things that could get them into trouble.  Yet Anonymous was able to do it and got better of being a “domocracy”.

Anyway here is the link for anyone who wants to read the origins of Anonymous!
